Oneonta finishes out the season 7-3 with their 21-7 win over JB Pennington in the 74th meeting all time with this current winning now reaching 13 straight wins. First touchdown didn't come until the second quarter with 11 minutes left with David Hall getting in from 4 yards out to go up 7-0. Redskins didn't waste no time on their very next drive as once again David Hall went to the house from 69 yards out to put the Redskins ahead 14-0 mid second quarter.
JB Pennington's Quarterback Hayden Floyd found Dawson Blaxton for a 38 yard touchdown reception to cut the score in half going into halftime. Second half would start out with teams trading possessions. With 5:32 left in the fourth quarter David Hall would find the endzone for the final time that night to secure the game for the Redskins and give them there 7th win on the season. Senior running back David Hall would end the night with 148 yards on just 14 carries and 3 touchdowns. Braden Moore would rush for 91 yards on 8 carries.
The Redskin defense once again showed up by just allowing 174 total yards and 14 of them being rushing yards. Beau Ragsdale led the way with a team high 16 tackles and a sack. Luke Hodge tallied 8 tackles, Andrew McAlpine had 5 tackles and Wil Robertson picked up 7 tackles. This is the fewest points that Oneonta has allowed since the 2013 season.
David Hall eclipsed 1000 yards tonight and with his 3 touchdowns he now has 21 touchdowns on the season. Oneonta will host 8-2 Good Hope next week in the first round of the playoffs at Gilbreath Stadium. JB Pennington (3-7) will travel to Piedmont next week for the playoffs.
