Redskins Bulldogs split Varsity Games

In a jam packed Bruce Macfee Gym at Susan Moore High School where the crowd was nonstop loud all through out the night the Oneonta Varsity Boys and Susan Moore Varsity Girls came out winners. The Redskin Varsity Girls only led at one point which was in the first 90 seconds when Baylor Phillips hit a 3 to put them ahead 3-2. After that Morgan Holland, Hallie Holmes and Madison Lispcomb got it rolling putting the Bulldogs on top 19-10 after the first quarter. The Redskins did a good job on the boards as several Redskins had season highs. But it wasn't quite enough as the closest they would get would be 10 points in the second half. Oneonta girls would fall 59-34. Baylor Phillips would have 9 points 3 rebounds, Savanna Robertson 8 points 7 rebounds, Jordan Smith 7 points 7 rebounds, Sydney Baker 4 points 5 rebounds 2 assist and 2 blocks. Britney Chavez would only tally 3 points but pick up 7 rebounds. The loss puts the girls at 2-2 overall and will travel to Guntersville on Monday night.

The Varsity Boys only trailed at one point all night and it was 1-0. After that the Redskins would not look back as they would go on to win 64-25. Redskins would control the tempo of the game once again as they would run the floor and find their open shooters all over the court. Eric Moore would lead all scorers with 16 points and had a thunderous dunk in the third quarter. Jacob Green tallied 10 points 2 rebounds 2 assist, Deondre Elliott and Daniel McCary both had 9 points a piece. Elliott would also grab 8 rebounds and 4 assist. Eli Buse had 5 points 10 rebounds, Harrison Miller 5 points 4 rebounds, Wil Robertson 3 points 1 rebound, Dallas Jennings 5 points 4 rebounds, Davin Young 2 points 2 rebounds.
